Dr. Geoffrey Mateo is an accomplished and compassionate dentist in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Mateo is committed to serving his patients with the highest standard of integrity, clinical expertise, and professionalism. Dr. Mateo uses only the best materials and technology available in dentistry. He is well known for his painless anesthetic injection techniques with minimal to no discomfort during dental surgery.
Dr. Mateo graduated high school at age 16, received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2016. In his doctoral program, Dr. Mateo was recognized as the first recipient of the Dr. John S. Wolkowicz & Family Endowed Scholarship. He was also inducted into the Honos Civicus Honor Society for his academic excellence and civic leadership as a Director of Project Bridge, a non-profit dental clinic serving the homeless youth of Boston. Dr. Mateo then completed advanced training through the New York University Langone Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program, as well as the renowned SPEAR and KOIS Dental Continuing Education Programs.
Dr. Mateo has served as both a Board Director and Advocacy Committee Member of the Academy of General Dentistry, where he collaborated with lobbyists and policymakers to advocate for the oral health of patients at the State Capitol. For his contributions, he was peer nominated for the prestigious Dentist of the Year Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2019. Dr. Mateo remains dedicated to lifelong learning and is currently working toward his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of leadership in dentistry, Dr. Mateo is a black belt in Shotokan Karate and physical fitness enthusiast. He enjoys quality time with his family and friends, as well as bettering his community.
